Here you will find the answers to the most frequently asked questions before your visit to Backa Teater.

Find us

Backa Teater is situated in an old factory building on Lindholmen, Hisingen in Gothenburg.

The address is Lärdomsgatan 1c. You can travel by bus, boat or car to get to us. It is also pleasant to walk or bike along the northern river shore.

Bus or ferry

You can take a bus or a boat to get to Backa Teater. Bus 16, 30, 31, 55, 58, 99, 121 go to "Lindholmen". Bus 16 is the most frequent. The ferries Älvsnabben and Älvsnabbaren go to "Lindholmspiren". They depart very frequently daytime on weekdays, and more seldom in the evenings and weekends.

By car to the theatre

If you travel by car to the theatre you should follow the sings towards Lindholmen - Campus Lindholmen - Backa Teater. There are different car parks around the theatre. Please note that the covered car park might close early.

At the theatre

Coat hanging area

We don't have a cloak room, but the foyer is always manned by our staff. We kindly ask you to hang your coat in the designated area to avoid it becoming to warm and crowded. It is also a safety hazard to bring your coats inside in case we would need to evacuate. We also offer a few lockers.

Guided tours

We love to show people around the theatre. It is free of charge, but must be pre booked. Please book your tour via telephone: 031-7087101.

Be on time

Show start is stated on the ticket. When the performance has started all doors will be closed. On some performances a late admittance is possible, but not always.

If you get stuck in traffic or on a bus that is running late, please call on 031-7087141 and let us know.

Left items

If you have forgotten or lost something during your visit, please call 031-7087101.

Sound and noise

If you are sensitive to noise or need hearing aid, please ask the cashier upon your arrival.

Mobile phones

It is important that mobile phones are switched off during the performance. Please note that the light from your screen may disturb others in the audience.

Intermission

Sometimes there will be an intermission during the performance. You may then go outside for some fresh air or go to the toilet. Backa Eat is often open and you can get some refreshments. The information on each play will tell you if there is an intermission or not.

Talk to the actors

After the performance our actors are available in the foyer and you are welcome to talk to them. If you would like to say something later you are welcome to e-mail or call us.
