PARZIVAL

A pop-epos about self discovery

After 14 years with an overprotective mother, Parzival meets the world for the first time. (S)he is surprised, confused and seduced by the reality (s)he knows nothing of. If your whole world has been filled with you, who are you then when you suddenly meet another person?

The lauded director Anders Paulin makes his debut at Backa Theatre and Gothenburg poet Lina Ekdahl has written the text. Magnus Haglund and Isak Eldh have composed the music of this pop-studded 13th century myth, which clashes with challenging dramatic art and takes the audience on an epic adventure to get lost in.
